Apesar de isso estar sendo discutido há muito tempo, algumas mudanças de última hora agitaram o dia do término do prazo, incluindo a desistência de um dos pré-candidatos, no caso Ricardo Maritan, que abriu mão da oportunidade de concorrer para formar uma frente ampla de oposição. Ele agora vai tentar uma vaga no Conselho Deliberativo.

Essa frente ampla tem chance de sair por conta da desistência de Paulo Garcia, um dos nomes mais influentes da política corintiana. Com o suporte de seu grupo, qualquer candidato à presidência ganha força para vencer a eleição, até mesmo com certo favoritismo. Assim, nos bastidores, tanto oposição quanto situação buscaram essa ajuda para aumentar o cacife eleitoral para novembro.
Paulo, inicialmente, seria um dos candidatos, mas em reunião recente com outros nomes da oposição como Mário Gobbi, Augusto Mello e Ricardo Maritan, foi articulado um acordo de colaboração nas eleições e para a votação contra a aprovação das contas de 2019 no Conselho Deliberativo. A tendência é que Garcia e seu grupo apoiem Gobbi, mas nada foi oficializado. A informação foi divulgada primeiramente pelo “Meu Timão” e confirmada pelo LANCE!.
O ex-presidente Mário Gobbi, que encabeça chapa com Felipe Ezabella como vice-presidente, é o grande favorito a brigar pelo cargo nas urnas contra Duílio Monteiro Alves, candidato da situação, que tem por trás o grupo Renovação e Transparência, ao qual pertence Andrés Sanchez. A frente ampla teria como objetivo tirar esse grupo que está no poder há 13 anos. Há o entendimento de que divisão só enfraqueceria o movimento oposicionista neste pleito.
Ainda que tenha participado da reunião com os demais candidatos, Augusto Mello não desistiu de inscrever sua candidatura nesta terça-feira e vai concorrer ao cargo de presidente com Duílio Monteiro Alves e Mário Gobbi. Não está descartada, porém, a tentativa da oposição de conversar novamente, e buscar que Mello retire essa candidatura quando a eleição estiver próxima.
Além do presidente, os sócios irão eleger 200 integrantes para o Conselho Deliberativo, cuja votação se dá por meio das chamadas “chapinhas”, cada uma com 25 pessoas, sendo que oito delas serão eleitas para o próximo triênio. Lembrando que tem direito a voto os sócios com mais de cinco anos no quadro associativo e que não estejam inadimplentes com seus pagamentos.
Agora, com as candidaturas inscritas, tanto das chapas quanto dos postulantes ao cargo de presidente, a Comissão Eleitoral analisará todas as documentações, além de determinar se todos estão elegíveis. Joelinton, aged 22 at the time, had been described as an "animal" and a "machine" by Julian Nagelsmann – who he worked with at Hoffenheim – after plundering 11 goals and nine assists across all competitions during his final term at the PreZero Arena.
He was viewed as the "strong" and "athletic" striker to dominate as the Magpies spearhead for years to come by club manager at the time Steve Bruce, who heralded his "incredible work-rate" and expansive potential.

José Welison foi revelado pelo Vitória, onde se destacou até que foi contratado pela equipe mineira, por empréstimo, em 2018. No ano passado, o volante foi comprado em definitivo pelo Atlético-MG, mas perdeu espaço com a chegada de Jorge Sampaoli. A última vez que entrou em campo foi no começo de março – em 2020, ele fez nove partidas.
O novo reforço do Botafogo, contudo, não poderá atuar na Copa do Brasil. José Welison entrou em campo na competição pelo Atlético-MG no empate em 0 a 0 contra o Campinense, pela primeira fase. O regulamento do torneio impede que um atleta jogue por duas equipes na mesma edição.
O jogador esteve envolvido na negociação envolvendo Éverson e o Atlético-MG. Na teoria, José Welison iria para o Santos como uma forma de compensação na transferência, mas a mudança na presidência no Peixe fez com que o clube paulista desistisse da negociação.

The ECB plans to host a number of short-format leagues in 2018-19, which could clash with a busy Pakistan home season

The PCB’s longstanding relationship with the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) is approaching a crossroads because of a potential schedule crunch in the 2018-19 winter. The ECB plans to host a number of short-format leagues, which could clash with a busy Pakistan home season.The PCB is uncomfortable with the situation, seeing the leagues as a potential threat to its revenues from international cricket and the commercial viability of playing in the UAE. In effect, the situation is a microcosm of the tussle between international cricket and domestic T20 leagues globally for space in a cramped calendar.Pakistan are due to host New Zealand and Australia in the UAE later this year for Tests, ODIs and T20s. But Sharjah and Dubai’s growth as a destination of choice for various T20 leagues means the PCB could find the venues in high demand at that time of the year. Afghanistan launch their new T20 league, possibly in October, in the UAE. In December, the second season of the T10 league will take place, this time likely to be over 10 days (as opposed to four last year). And in January the ECB is set to host its own T20 league, the Arabian Cricket League.With the Asia Cup to be played in September and the PSL in February-March, it could be one of the busiest seasons in the UAE’s cricket calendar. And that doesn’t include the possibility that come next March and April, the UAE could be in the running to host some of the IPL, if the league moves out of India because of general elections.The ECB is still happy to rent out venues to the PCB as and when required and offered a resolution that involves running Pakistan’s home season concurrently with the other cricketing leagues. But ESPNcricinfo understands that the PCB has asked the ECB to schedule other cricketing activities between April and October – which, given the heat of the summer, makes outdoor sport almost impossible – allowing the PCB exclusive use from October to March, the time of year most conducive to playing cricket in the Emirates.The ECB’s governing board is expected to meet this week to discuss the issue, and there is hope that, for this season, a resolution can be found.But if one isn’t forthcoming, the PCB has weighed up Malaysia as a potential venue to host Pakistan’s home series. In the past, the PCB has also considered moving to Sri Lanka or Bangladesh in a bid to make the ECB agree to its terms, but neither of those venues were ever seen as realistic options. Malaysia’s weather makes it a difficult destination for Test cricket between October and November, as well as the fact that facilities are relatively limited.In practical terms, and despite the higher costs of staging cricket there, the UAE remains Pakistan’s first-choice venue as a home away from home. Since 2010, when they started using the UAE regularly, Pakistan have had a largely steady, trouble-free association with the ECB.In recent years, with some cricket trickling back to Pakistan, the relationship has had to overcome the odd stumbling block over schedule clashes. In 2016, the now-defunct Masters Champions League nearly put the opening season of the PSL in jeopardy, as the ECB refused to lease out the three stadiums in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah to Pakistan, arguing that the MCL had already locked in the venues. The PCB explored Doha as an alternative venue but ended up negotiating a settlement with the ECB that allowed the PSL to go ahead, side by side with the MCL.
There is plenty happening on the pitch at Chelsea at the moment, but a big off-field development has also now emerged in their quest to confirm a long-term shirt sponsor.
Will Pochettino get sacked?
The Blues had a dreadful 2022/23 season, finishing 12th in the Premier League, and the hope was that it was a one-off, with the new campaign bringing more positives.
Mauricio Pochettino was appointed as manager during the summer, but the Argentine has endured a difficult start to life as Blues boss in his first few months in charge. Only one win has come Chelsea's way in their opening six league games, which came at home to newly-promoted Luton Town, and performances and results have both been severely lacking too often.
It is too early to be calling for Pochettino to lose his job despite the Blues' struggles this season to date, and while there is no question that he is under a fair amount of pressure, Todd Boehly is reportedly happy to leave things be in the hopes of a turnaround.
Away from the on-field action, a key update has emerged – one that could be beneficial for the west Londoners moving forward.
What's the latest on a new shirt sponsor?
According to Football Insider, Chelsea are in talks over a new long-term shirt deal ahead of the 2024/25 season:
"Chelsea are already in talks with potential partners over a front-of-shirt sponsorship deal starting in 2024/25, Football Insider has been told. The Blues announced a sponsorship deal with Infinite Athlete this week after waiting weeks for Premier League approval.
"However, the deal with the US company is understood to only be a short-term agreement, leaving Chelsea in need of a new sponsor from 2024 onwards. Football Insider has been told by sources that Chelsea have already begun the process of finding a new sponsor after deeming this summer’s business a ‘mistake’.
'The London club started their 2022/23 campaign without a sponsor after seeing a number of deals collapse. Chelsea held talks with Paramount Plus, Allianz and Stake over potential sponsorship deals, but all negotiations collapsed."
This has to be seen as a positive for Chelsea, with a new kit deal generating more funds moving forward, in terms of making new signings and allowing Pochettino to build a more formidable squad – one that can complete for the big honours like they used to.
The fact that the Blues had no sponsor at the beginning of last season is arguably indicative of how the club is being run, but this update hopefully suggests that improvements are being made in that area.
In order for Chelsea to have the possible sponsor, it is vital that things continue to improve on the pitch, making the Blues an enticing proposition for potential suitors, so the hope is that things go up a level drastically under Pochettino.
They remain a huge club, so it shouldn't be too difficult for good sponsors to chance their luck and take a punt with them, and the hope is that an agreement is reached as soon as possible, allowing the Todd Boehly era to find another gear.
