In a stinging retort to the BCB’s new rule that a legspinner must bowl four overs in every innings of the Bangladesh Premier League, Shakib Al Hasan has said that the T20 league cannot be expected to “make” players, while also drawing attention to the poor pay structure and training facilities in the country’s domestic set-up.Of late, the BCB has been stressing on the importance of legspin, so much so that it even fired two National Cricket League (NCL) coaches last week for not picking legspinners in their respective first-class teams.”I think that legspinners should bowl a lot of overs in first-class cricket to gain confidence and consistency,” Shakib told the Bengali daily . “The BPL is an international-standard competitive tournament where you will face scenarios that you are likely to face in international cricket. You share the dressing room with overseas cricketers. It is not the place to make a player.”For so many years, we couldn’t select a legspinner for the senior team, but suddenly we made plans to include seven legspinners in the BPL. This decision does come as a bit of a surprise, but I would still say that the board has taken a decision that it thinks is good.”ESPNcricinfo understands that the order about including a legspinner – as well as a 140kph-plus pacer – in BPL XIs had come from the Bangladesh team management. At the time of announcing the rule, BCB director Mahbubul Anam had said: “BCB wants this BPL to be about improving Bangladesh’s cricketers in T20s, so we want to make sure that our batsmen and bowlers get enough opportunities [against quicks and legspinners].”Shakib also criticised the lack of increments in the salary of domestic cricketers, calling for better communication from the “decision-makers”. He also expressed dissatisfaction about the fact that the BPL is no longer a franchise-run event, which means player payments are expected to be lower than before. The cash-rich Dhaka Premier League (DPL), which for four decades had operated with players transferred from club to club in an open market, also now has heavy caps and a draft in place to help clubs cut player payments.”[First-class match fees] is very unacceptable,” Shakib said. “It is a very small amount for a cricketer to maintain the minimum standard of living in Bangladesh. Things are getting costlier. Government officers get increments every year, but we see that it is same for us every time. It even gets reduced. A player should be left to earn what he feels he deserves. If the team doesn’t want to take the player at that payment, the player will deal with it. Papon (Nazmul Hassan, the BCB president) did say that fitness tests will become tougher but they will announce it earlier.”Shakib also drew attention to the indoor facilities in Mirpur, where batsmen struggle while training during the summer months due to the lack of air-conditioning.”Only focusing on the national team shouldn’t be the main job of the organisers. Places like Chittagong, Rajshahi, Khulna and Sylhet should have a proper gym, running and indoor facilities. You cannot bat for more than 15 minutes in the Mirpur indoor facilities, because it gets so hot. They haven’t installed ACs even after being told for ten years.”It is quite disappointing, especially when we see indoors in other countries that have clear lighting and ACs.”

Looking at the table above, Cadamarteri won't be alone in feeling incensed about Wilks' high salary and therefore Wednesday could look to get rid of their ex-Tigers man this summer.

Never quite living up to the hype that was generated around his capture in 2022 – with Wilks previously prolific at Hull having found the back of the net 19 times during the 2020-21 campaign – the 25-year-old could be set to move on when his contract expires in June.

O Palmeiras voltou do intervalo com uma postura mais agressiva, enquanto o Universitario não conseguia sair do campo de defesa.

Aos 5 minutos, Viña chutou ao gol, Alonso não conseguiu afastar a bola, que se ofereceu a Wesley. No canto esquerdo da área, o jovem chutou colocado, mas o auxiliar anotou impedimento do atacante palmeirense.

Mesmo com o gol anulado, a equipe da casa chegou ao terceiro tento. Após confusão na área e uma saída esquisita do goleiroCarvallo, Gustavo Gómez aproveitou sobra e, de fora da área, ampliou.

E não parou por aí. Seis minutos depois, Scarpa recebeu de Gabriel Menino na direita, fez bom drible de corpo e cruzou rasteiro. Viña chutou travado, e a bola se ofereceu para Willian, sozinho, fazer o quarto tento palmeirense.

Com ampla vantagem, Abel Ferreira colocou em campo Luan, Rony e Luiz Adriano, tirando Gustavo Gómez, Alan Empereur e Willian.

Com três minutos em campo, o camisa 7 palmeirense balançou as redes. Após cruzamento da esquerda, Gabriel Menino cabeceou cruzado, Rony apareceu embaixo da trave e fez o quinto.

Rony ainda contou com vacilo enorme da defesa adversária, e, aos 45 da etapa final, roubou a bola na área do rival e fez seu segundo na partida.

O Verdão tinha amplo domínio da partida e empilhou chances contra a equipe peruana, que ficou sem respostas durante o segundo tempo.

Arsenal's resurgence over the last couple of years has been based on several different factors, but one of the most important has been squad building.

Therefore, for the five and a half seasons he was an Arsenal player – taking away the two years he spent on loan – the 29-year-old cost the club around £14.6m in wages alone.

Combined with the £16m fee and the £2m they got back for him, the North Londoners paid around £28.6m for very little return from the Wenger dud.

Ultimately, it's hard not to consider Chambers's time at Arsenal a mistake, although it makes the wage Smith Rowe earns look justified.

The Gunners were, in the end, bled dry by the English defender who did not turn out to be value for money after being signed by Wenger from Southampton back in 2014.

Rajasthan Royals have traded Ajinkya Rahane to Delhi Capitals ahead of IPL 2020. The move was confirmed by the IPL and both franchises on Thursday, the final day of the trading window. Rahane has become the second high-profile player to be acquired by the Capitals in the trading window after R Ashwin, and he’ll join a line-up that is already top-heavy, with the likes of Shikhar Dhawan, Prithvi Shaw and Shreyas Iyer in the top order, with Rishabh Pant to follow.Rahane is the Royals’ most capped player, having played 106 matches for them, with 100 coming in the IPL and six in the Champions League T20. He represented them since 2011, with the exception of the 2016 and 2017 seasons when the team was suspended, and he played for Rising Pune Supergiant. He is also the Royals’ leading run-scorer, with 3098 runs for them overall, at an average of 35.60 and a strike rate of 122.30. In the IPL, he scored 2810 runs for them at an average of 34.26 and a strike rate of 122.65.He captained the Royals in 24 matches, winning nine and losing 15. Rahane had faced some criticism for his strike rate at the top of the order in IPL 2018, when he tallied 370 runs at 28.46 but at a rate of only 118.21. Campeão do Paulista sub-17 (2015), bicampeão daCopa RS Ipiranga (2016 e 2017), fazendo gol na final de 2016, campeão da Copa Ouro sub-20 (2018), da Copa do Brasil sub-23 (2018) e do Brasileiro de Aspirantes (2018), Pedro falou não teve oportunidades na equipe profissional do São Paulo, mas não guarda mágoa pela falta de chances.

-Como todos atletas de Cotia, meu sonho era jogar na equipe principal do São Paulo, quando estava na base sempre assistia na TV e tinha a expectativa de ter essa sensação. Em 2017 cheguei a fazer alguns treinos a pedido do Rogério, mas infelizmente a oportunidade não veio, mas um dia tenho certeza que irei realizar esse sonho – disse.

Sobre a sua experiência na Europa, onde foi eleito o melhor médio sub-21 do Campeonato de Portugal 2019/20, Pedro Oliveira disse que serviu como uma evolução como jogador e um grande passo em sua carreira.

– Foi uma experiência muito interessante, evolui bastante como pessoa e jogador, senti como é diferente o ritmo e a dinâmica do futebol Europeu. Também tive minha primeira experiência como profissional lá, então hoje me sinto mais preparado para atuar em qualquer clube do Brasil – explicou.

Você é da mesma geração do Militão, Liziero, entre outros atletas. Essa experiência com outros jogadores te ajuda na carreira?

Ajuda muito, pois desde muito novo treino e jogo com atletas de alto nível. A disputa para jogar sempre foi muito grande e quando temos essa disputa, o crescimento pessoal de cada um é muito maior e esse é um dos motivos que fazem o São Paulo estar sempre revelando grandes jogadores, pois desde cedo competimos com os melhores por um lugar no time.

​Seu contrato com o São Paulo se encerra agora em junho. Há alguma expectativa de renovação com o clube?

O meu desejo sempre foi e é até hoje, conquistar títulos e retribuir toda a confiança que o clube me deu, mas essa parte de renovação deixo mais com os meus representantes.

Você tem um fato muito legal e curioso que foi marcar por duas vezes um gol do meio-campo. Qual o segredo para isso?

Gosto de observar o posicionamento do goleiro sempre, fui muito feliz nas duas vezes que tentei e espero repetir esse feito mais vezes (risos).

Pretende continuar na Europa, ou quer voltar a jogar no Brasil?

Gostei bastante do futebol Europeu e me adaptei muito rápido, acredito que minhas características ajudaram nisso. Mas se tiver a oportunidade de voltar a jogar no Brasil, também aceitaria de braços abertos.

كشفت تقارير صحفية عن قيام مشجعي كرة القدم الإسرائيليين بتمزيق أعلام فلسطين أثناء مسيراتهم في أمستردام في ليلة الأربعاء، على خلفية زيارة مكابي تل أبيب إلى أياكس.

والتقى مكابي تل أبيب مع أياكس في منافسات الدوري الأوروبي، وتعرض الفريق الإسرائيلي لهزيمة بخمسة أهداف دون رد.

وبحسب ما ورد من صحيفة “ديلي ميل” البريطانية، ظهر عشرات الأشخاص المقنعين الذين يرتدون ملابس سوداء وهم يهتفون ويصرخون “اذهبي إلى الجحيم يا فلسطين”.

يذكر التقرير أن أحدهم صعد إلى منتصف الطريق أمام مبنى وأزالوا العلم الفلسطيني من شارع روكين الرئيسي، ونزعوها من منازل المواطنين.

وظهر أيضًا أحد الأشخاص وهو يضرب سيارة أجرة بقضيب حديدي قبل أن ينطلق السائق.

كما وقعت اشتباكات بين مشجعي فريق مكابي وسائقي سيارات الأجرة في هولندا.

يشير التقرير إلى وقوع اشتباكات يُزعم أنها بين مشجعي مكابي ومجموعة من مشجعي أياكس المغاربة.

ولم تقم شرطة أمستردام بإلقاء القبض على أي شخص ولم تؤكد أن مرتكبي الوقائع العنيفة من مشجعي فريق مكابي.

فيما أدلى داني دانون، السفير الإسرائيلي لدى الأمم المتحدة، بتصريح حصري لفوكس نيوز ديجيتال مساء الخميس.

وقال دانون: “نحن نشهد مذبحة ضد اليهود والإسرائيليين في أمستردام، في عام 2024، يجب أن تتوقف هذه المذبحة، لم تكن عبارة “عولمة الانتفاضة” مجرد شعار لهؤلاء المؤيدين للإرهاب، أحث الحكومة الهولندية على مساعدة جميع الإسرائيليين واليهود على الفور، لقد حان الوقت للرد بقوة ضد هؤلاء المشاغبين الهمجيين”.

وعبر حسابه على منصة “إكس” نشر مقطع فيديو وكتب: “نتلقى تقارير مزعجة للغاية عن عنف شديد ضد الإسرائيليين واليهود في شوارع هولندا”،

كما كتب “هناك مذبحة تجري حاليًا في أوروبا في عام 2024، هذه هي الوجوه الحقيقية لمؤيدي الإرهاب المتطرف الذي نحاربه، يحتاج العالم الغربي إلى الاستيقاظ الآن !!”.

ونشرت سفارة إسرائيل في الولايات المتحدة مقطع فيديو وعلقت: “تعرض مئات من مشجعي فريق كرة القدم مكابي تل أبيب لكمين وهجوم في أمستردام الليلة أثناء مغادرتهم الملعب بعد مباراة ضد أياكس، وقد شارك الغوغاء الذين استهدفوا هؤلاء الإسرائيليين الأبرياء بفخر أعمالهم العنيفة على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي”.

كما أدان النائب ريتشي توريس، ديمقراطي من نيويورك، أعمال العنف، قائلاً: “لقد أدت شيطنة إسرائيل الهستيرية والمبالغ فيها إلى اندلاع عالمي للهجوم المعادي للسامية والتخريب والعنف”.

كما كتب على إكس: “إن المظهر الأكثر وحشية لمعاداة السامية هو المذبحة التي تتكشف حاليًا ضد مئات اليهود الذين كانوا يشجعون نادي تل أبيب لكرة القدم في أمستردام”.

وواصل: “أولئك الذين يحرضون على معاداة السامية لديهم الآن دماء مذبحة القرن الحادي والعشرين على أيديهم، الوضع مزرٍ للغاية لدرجة أن الحكومة الإسرائيلية ترسل فرق إنقاذ لليهود المعرضين للخطر، أشعر بالغثيان من حدوث مذبحة في القرن الحادي والعشرين”.

أفادت قناة RTL الهولندية بأنه تم اعتقال العشرات ليلة الخميس، معظمهم قبل المباراة.

وقال متحدث باسم الشرطة الوطنية الهولندية للصحيفة: “كانت هناك اضطرابات، لا يمكننا تحديد من ينتمي إلى من، ليس من السهل التمييز بين المجموعات، وكلهم تقريبًا يرتدون ملابس داكنة”.

وقالت الشرطة إنها “منعت مواجهة بين مجموعة من سائقي سيارات الأجرة ومجموعة من الزوار الذين قدموا من الكازينو المجاور”، بحسب ما ذكرت “ديلي ميل”.

وأفادت الصحيفة البريطانية بأنها لم تتمكن من العثور على لقطات لسائقين ومشجعين يشتبكون شخصيًا.

على الرغم من ذلك، أحد المصادر عبر الإنترنت أشار إلى تحالف من سائقي سيارات الأجرة وأوبر يقوم “بطرد المشجعين من المدينة”.

ويظهر أحد مقاطع الفيديو المنشورة على حساب عبر إنستجرام “Week4Palestine” رجلاً، يُفترض أنه من مشجعي إسرائيل، في نهر أمستل، ويظهر صوتًا: “قل فلسطين الحرة وسنذهب”.

وقد تم التعليق على الفيديو: “عندما لا تقوم العمدة بواجباتها، سيتعين على سكان المدينة القيام بذلك بأنفسهم!، شارع من؟” “أوه نعم، شارعنا، حصل صهيوني على درس سباحة مجاني”، وقد أرفق المنشور بوجه مبتسم.

وأشارت “هآرتس” الإسرائيلية إلى أن المشجعين الذين سافروا إلى هولندا لمشاهدة مباراة مكابي تل أبيب وأياكس أمستردام يوم الخميس تعرضوا للهجوم في عدة أماكن في المدينة بعد المباراة من قبل أشخاص يهتفون “فلسطين حرة” ويوجهون الشتائم باللغة العربية.

Offspinner Will Somerville will return to the SCG where he played for New South Wales after being called up to the New Zealand squad for the final Test against Australia as Trent Boult’s replacement.Somerville, the 35-year-old offspinner, has played three Tests for New Zealand, all of them in Asia, and has taken 14 wickets at 25.14 after returning home to New Zealand following a five-year spell in Australian cricket. He played 12 first-class matches for New South Wales including five at the SCG where he took 23 wickets at 20.69.While it might seem unusual for a spinner to replace a fast bowler in the squad, the decision has been made with an eye on conditions.
