Na noite desta segunda-feira, o Tribunal de Justiça Desportiva (TJD-RS) bateu o martelo sobre a agressão do meia Willian Ribeiro ao árbitro Rodrigo Crivellaro, durante o jogo entre São Paulo-RG e Guarani-VA, pela Série A2 do Campeonato Gaúcho. A Primeira Comissão Disciplinar decidiu que o ex-jogador do clube rio-grandense ficará suspenso por dois anos do futebol.
No decorrer do julgamento, o meia, que não tinha se manifestado publicamente sobre o caso, afirmou que estava arrependido. Em sua defesa, Willian Ribeiro afirmou que foi xingado pelo árbitro no lance que causou sua agressão, mas não recordou as palavras que Crivellaro teria proferido após ser aplicado o cartão amarelo que gerou sua reação.
– Aconteceram várias situações dentro de campo que muitas vezes o pessoal de fora não sabe. Estou muito arrependido disso. Na hora me deu um apagão e reagi daquela forma. Eu não sei explicar o que me deu na hora. Simplesmente me escureceu a vista. Até já estou procurando para tratar o meu psicológico – declarou o meia, que teve seu contrato com o São Paulo-RG rescindido.

It is a matter of time until the Red Devils confirm the signings of Bayern Munich pair Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui, with the defensive duo in the process of completing their respective moves from the Bundesliga giants. It has been a promising summer at Old Trafford, with Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee among those to have also come in, but Sir Jim Ratcliffe's spending may not be done there.
One recent report has claimed that United are considering making a move for highly-rated young Brighton striker Evan Ferguson, with a transfer worth as much as £50m mooted. The Republic of Ireland international is still just 19 years of age, but has been touted to become a superstar over time.

Fenerbahce and Turkey left-back Ferdi Kadioglu has also been linked with a summer move to Old Trafford, having caught the eye with his performances for his country at Euro 2024. He also averaged 3.6 tackles and two clearances per game at the tournament, enhancing his reputation in the process, and he could be viewed as a long-term replacement for the injury-prone Luke Shaw.
A move for Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong also isn't seemingly out of the question, despite United failing in their efforts to sign him so far, bidding far lower than the Catalan giants are willing to accept for his services.

According to a new report from Football Insider, Manchester United have now "re-opened talks" to sign Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite in the summer window, as they look to snap him up alongside De Ligt.
Red Devils chiefs are about to submit a new bid of £60m this week and they believe the offer will be accepted by the Blues, even though their previous efforts have been unsuccessful.
Signing Branthwaite as well as De Ligt and Yoro really would represent a superb summer of spending at the heart of Erik ten Hag's defence, as they look to make huge improvements in the Premier League. The 22-year-old has enjoyed such a meteoric rise at Everton over the past 12 months or so, and he looks like a potential regular starter for England in the coming years.
Branthwaite's quality hasn't gone unnoticed by Premier League legend Alan Shearer, who has hailed him as "magnificent", while Jamie Carragher has also heaped praise on him: "Branthwaite has been outstanding. I think this lad is pretty special. He's a big part of why Everton in my eyes have a good chance of staying up, him and his partnership with [James] Tarkowski."

It would arguably be a surprise to see Branthwaite come in now, considering the money already spent on new defenders by United this summer, but few supporters will be against his signing, given his long-term promise.
Out of the traditional 'big six' Premier League sides, only Chelsea and perhaps Manchester United have been busier than Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
The North Londoners have signed several exciting young talents like Archie Gray, Wilson Odobert and Yang Min-Hyeok, extended Timor Werner's loan for another season, and, most importantly, spent £65m on bringing in Dominic Solanke.
However, the window is still open for another week, and based on recent reports, Daniel Levy and Co could bring in even more promising youngsters.

In fact, the latest star touted for a move to N17 enjoyed a brilliant season last year and has shades of former Spurs great Mousa Dembélé about him.

According to a recent report from journalist Graeme Bailey, Tottenham are one of several Premier League clubs interested in RC Lens prospect Andy Diouf.
Alongside the Lilywhites, the report has claimed that Manchester City, Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Brighton & Hove Albion all sent scouts to watch the 21-year-old in the club's 2-1 Conference League qualifier victory over Panathinaikos on Thursday night.
The story does not mention a potential price, but considering the £15k-per-week star only joined the Ligue 1 side last summer, he'd presumably cost a pretty penny.
However, given his potential and form last season, Diouf is a player Levy and Co should seriously consider signing, especially as there are shades of Dembélé to him.

Not only is this an incredible statistic in its own right, but it's made all the more outrageous by the fact that the Frenchman is still just 21, suggesting that, in time, he could pull even further away from the pack and become a ball-carrying machine, much like the former Lilywhites star was.
The second similarity is two-fold and comes from the fact that the "progressive" youngster, as dubbed by data analyst Ben Mattinson, plays in the same areas of the pitch and shares the physical characteristics of the 82-capped Belgian, also coming in at over 6 foot – 6 foot 2 in his case.
This towering presence in the middle of the park, combined with his "great engine", per Mattinson, and incredible ball-carrying, could see him develop into an all-action midfielder able to take control and dictate games on his own.
Lastly, like the Antwerp-born icon, the Lens gem is left-footed, which, considering James Maddison, Rodrigo Bentancur, Pape Matar Sarr and Yves Bissouma are all right-footed, would give Postecoglou another option to choose from.

Ultimately, Diouf may not be a name familiar to many outside of France, and while he might not quite reach the level Dembélé did, there is undoubtedly a lot of talent there. Therefore, Spurs should do what they can to pick him up before someone like City does.

Robinson’s cricket suffered – he would be late for training or not turn up at all and Yorkshire lost patience.But by the time the pair were reunited at Sussex – when Gillespie took over as coach in 2018 – Robinson was thriving, having adopted a truly professional approach to his game.”It’s fair to say Ollie, being from Kent, he didn’t quite settle into the environment at Yorkshire,” Gillespie says. “He was quite young and he missed his life down south so it just didn’t quite work out. Everyone saw that the skills and the talent were there.”He’s a real leader around Sussex. That’s probably something that I think may have surprised a lot of people at Yorkshire.”Full credit to him.
