وعن مقارنته بـ علي معلول، أوضح لاعب بتروجيت: “هذا الأمر يسعدني للغاية، فالكابتن علي معلول من اللاعبين الذين قدموا إنجازات كبيرة للنادي الأهلي، وترك بصمة مميزة مع منتخب تونس أيضًا، أن يتم تشبيهي به فهذا شرف كبير لي، وسأظل فخورًا بذلك طوال مسيرتي الكروية”.

وعند سؤاله عن احتمالية المقارنة بينه وبين معلول حال انتقاله للأهلي، أجاب قائلاً: “سأبذل قصارى جهدي لأثبت نفسي، فالأهلي فقد لاعبًا كبيرًا مثل علي معلول، وعندما تفقد جوهرة لا ترضى بأي شيء، ومن الطبيعي أن يبحث الجمهور عن بديل بنفس القيمة، علي معلول ترك بصمة قوية وأثرًا كبيرًا في الأهلي، وهذا أمر لا يُنسى”.

واستكمل: “كل ما أتمناه أن يوفقني الله في خطواتي المقبلة، وأتمنى أن تكون دعوات الناس ورضا والديّ سببًا في الخير لي”.

وعن أوجه التشابه بينه وبين نجم الأهلي السابق، قال توفيق محمد: “كثيرون يشبهونني بعلي معلول في عدة أمور، منها الكرات العرضية، والتحركات الهجومية والدفاعية، ليست هناك نقطة واحدة فقط، بل عدة جوانب مشتركة، في النهاية، علي معلول علامة مميزة في كرة القدم، وتشبيهي به مسؤولية كبيرة”.

Also a fan of Major League Baseball, Trump’s team appears to be the New York Yankees, although he does have appreciation for the New York Mets as well.

Over in England, Trump even appears to have a favoured football team in the Premier League, and it isn’t Chelsea despite being involved in the Blues’ Club World Cup celebrations.

Alleyne survived the hat-trick ball but the momentum had swun firmly in England’s favour with West Indies needing 32 runs off the last three overs. When Matthews launched the next ball down Arlott’s throat at long-on to give Bell her second wicket, it was all over, Bell closing with an economical 2 for 11 from four overs.

Consequently, it would make sense for the west Londoners to enter the market for a new centre-back in the January transfer window, and they have now set their sights on a Liverpool target.

That is according to journalist Pete O’Rourke, in a report from Football Insider, which states Chelsea have now joined the race for Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo, who has a whopping £870m release clause in his contract.

O’Rourke goes on to describe Araujo as “top class”. However, he does not believe there is much chance of a transfer going through in January, saying: “I don’t see any move in January for Araujo.

“Obviously, I don’t think Barcelona would want to weaken their squad midway through the season as they’ll have ambitions to win La Liga again and to go far in the Champions League this season.”

At 26-years-old, the Uruguayan may be about to enter the prime of his career, and he has recently started to improve himself at the highest level, making eight Champions League appearances as Barca went on to reach the semi-final last season.

The Barcelona defender, on €240,385 per week, has remained an important player this season, making six La Liga appearances, and pundit Jack Collins has previously suggested he has the leadership abilities to one day captain the Spanish side.

Not only that, but the Rivera-born defender is dominant in the air, placing in the 97th percentile for aerials won per 90 over the past year, when compared to other centre-backs, while also ranking in the 99th percentile for non-penalty goals.

As such, Araujo could be a solid addition to Chelsea’s backline, so they should undoubtedly try to get a deal done in January, but Barca remain in a strong negotiating position, as the Uruguay international is tied down until 2031.

Desde que os exames apontaram a gravidade de sua situação, o camisa 9 iniciou um debate com os médicos sobre qual seria o procedimento. Pelo lado do estafe são-paulino, o desejo era por uma operação, mas o próprio atleta optou por um tratamento convencional e voltou a jogar – isso por toda a temporada.
