West Ham are reportedly edging closer to announcing David Moyes’ new contract…

What’s the word?

That’s according to The Athletic’s Roshane Thomas, who delivered a fresh claim on a recent episode of the ‘U Irons’ podcast.

Speaking about the 58-year-old’s current situation, he said:

“David was asked about this last week at his press conference, and he said he’s hopeful something will be announced this week.

“I’m hearing that something should be announced, it should be this week, to be fair, and we’re hearing it could potentially be a three-year deal for David Moyes.

“I spoke to Kevin Nolan last Friday, he was saying [it was] in the final stages of negotiations for the contract, so everything’s pretty much all but confirmed really, so that’s great news for the club, great news for the fans.”

Exciting times ahead

Moyes has completely transformed the Irons’ fortunes in the past 12 months or so.

Having steered them to safety with one game to go during the 2019/20 campaign, he has now guided them to the Europa League.

And he’s done so contending with regular injury problems, as well as a lack of backing in the transfer market.

For instance, the club’s hierarchy sanctioned the exit of club-record signing Sebastian Haller in January but failed to replace him, leaving Moyes with only an injury-prone Michail Antonio up top.

GSB also gave up on him during his first stint, so this is the least he deserves and it’ll merely continue an exciting era at the London Stadium.

Thomas has got his information from about as good an insider source as you could find, Moyes’ first-team coach Kevin Nolan, so something must be on the horizon at Rush Green soon.

This latest development signals a sign of encouragement that the club are moving in the right direction with some much-needed long-term stability, and that, as The Athletic reporter describes, is “great news for the fans.”

It could even give the East Londoners a huge boost heading into a pivotal transfer window. It’s a fantastic move from GSB.

De acordo com Marulanda, o único atleta do Atlético Nacional que recebeu proposta oficial foi Guerra. Ele disse que não há nada formalizado pelo atacante Miguel Borja, outro que interessa ao Palmeiras, embora saiba que os jogadores têm sido procurados diretamente pelos outros clubes.

– A dinâmica é que falem primeiro com os jogadores e por último com os clubes, mas o negócio tem que ser feito pelo clube. Não há nada concreto sobre ninguém, só um documento, sem oficializar por parte nossa ainda, por Guerra.

– Chamam e chamam, mas não há nada oficial. Enquanto não tivermos nada oficial, não vai acontecer nada. Temos algumas situações, como de Borja, de Lobito Guerra, mas por oficializar. Há só algo por escrito, sem oficializar o clube, por Guerra. Por Borja, não há nada oficial – disse.

O Palmeiras tem um acordo apalavrado com o jogador desde novembro. Além disso, o valor que deve ser pago ao Atlético Nacional está dentro do orçamento do clube, independentemente de renovar ou não o patrocínio da Crefisa: três milhões de dólares (R$ 10 milhões).

A situação de Borja é mais complicado. O preço inicial é de 20 milhões de euros (R$ 68 milhões). Para fazer uma contratação deste porte, o Palmeiras conta com a ajuda de sua patrocinadora, mas isso só será definido após uma reunião em janeiro.

Having originally wanted to get an appointment done and dusted by the end of 2020/2021, chairman Daniel Levy is still on the chase for a new manager at Spurs.

The Hoops are faced with a situation where a number of their players could leave and with the transfer window on the verge of opening, that reality is edging ever closer.

What’s the word?

Odsonne Edouard has been primed for a Celtic exit for a while now.

He’s been linked with a plethora of Premier League clubs with West Ham and Arsenal showing an interest in the Frenchman over the last six months.

However, it looks as though the striker is set for a reunion with Brendan Rodgers at Leicester City instead.

The Times reported this weekend that the Foxes had won the race to sign Edouard in a £15m deal this summer.

The deal is set to be sanctioned as soon as their new manager arrives.

Colossal blow

Edouard may have downed tools towards the end of his time with Celtic but there is no denying that this is a monumental blow to the club’s ambitions.

The Bhoys endured a trophyless campaign and if they want to earn parity with Rangers as soon as possible they will need a goalscorer as fierce as the 23-year-old in their squad.

If there was one shining light from the 2020/21 campaign for Celtic then it would be Edouard. It has always been the Frenchman when it’s come to beating the goalkeeper and without him, you have to fear the worse.

He scored 22 goals last term, taking his tally in the famous green and white to 83 in 168 outings.

The attacker has been their top scorer in all three seasons he’s enjoyed at Paradise, taking their attack to a new level after the departure of Moussa Dembele.

£15m is a decent sum for a player whose contract expires in a year’s time and it should enable them to invest healthily in the transfer window.

That being said, it is never easy replacing someone who scores so many goals. Celtic will no doubt have contingency plans in place but as Albian Ajeti and Patryk Klimala will tell you, it’s hard to fit in.

Ajeti has only bagged six goals after arriving from West Ham for £5m while Klimala left Glasgow after just a year in Scotland.

The Celtic hierarchy will need to have a plan in place here. Losing Edouard is quite possibly the biggest blow supporters could receive this summer.

وأكمل: “نحن لم نعد نترك حقنا، في أمم إفريقيا تقدمنا بشكوى ضد بكاري جاساما، وأمس أرسلنا شكوى للاتحاد الإفريقي وشكوى للفيفا مرفقة بالصوت والصورة وما تعرض له المنتخب المصري”.

وواصل: “جمال علام رئيس اتحاد الكرة سيلتقي بـ إنفانتينو رئيس فيفا وأعضاء الاتحاد الدولي في قطر خلال اجتماع الكونجرس، نحن لا نترك حقنا، ونتبع اللوائح الدولية”.

وأستكمل: “نحن لم نتحدث بشأن مصيره حتى الآن، نقدر غضب الجماهير، ولكن لا نأخذ قراراتنا بانفعال، ونريد أن نأخذ قرارات لمصلحة الكرة المصرية، نحن بدأنا تجهيز مباريات دولية لمنتخب 2006 و2003، نحن نريد أن نبني في قطاع الناشئين حتى نقدم أسماء جيدة للمنتخب الأول”.
