As per journalist Charlie Eccleshare of The Athletic (Twitter), Tottenham Hotspur managing director Fabio Paratici is on the verge of green lighting yet another N17 exit with Dennis Cirkin’s sale to Sunderland ‘expected to go through’.

The Lowdown: Spurs summer sales…

In a major rebuild, Paratici has been tasked with developing Tottenham’s on-field sporting operations and overseeing their sell-to-buy summer ahead of Nuno Espirito Santo’s debut season in charge of the club.

Already, Spurs have successfully offloaded the likes of Erik Lamela, Juan Foyth, Joe Hart and Toby Alderweireld for profit whilst letting Danny Rose and Paulo Gazzaniga leave on free transfers.

Football Insider recently broke news of Sunderland’s talks to sign Cirkin from Spurs in yet another player who could be departing and the development has now been backed by Eccleshare.

The Latest: Cirkin ‘expected’ to leave Spurs…

As per the reporter, writing on Twitter, Spurs’ promising talent may be next to leave north London on a permanent deal as the Black Cats swoop in.

Despite being largely recognised as a ‘real talent’ and one who has been tipped to become a ‘real star’ for the Lilywhites one day (Twitter), the 19-year-old’s sale to Sunderland is still ‘expected to go through’.

It is not clear whether this permanent exit includes a potential buy-back option, or at the very least a sell-on clause, but Spurs supporters may be hoping that is the case.

The Verdict: Big loss…

Hailed as a young player with ‘a lot of quality’ by former Spurs boss Jose Mourinho after his appointment in 2019, news of Cirkin’s departure apparently hasn’t gone down too well with a large section of fans (Football Insider).

Sunderland are also said to be confident of finalising Cirkin’s signing in the next few days as Tottenham bid a likely farewell to the teenager with bags of potential.

If the left-back goes on to become a star defender, this may be a move Spurs will look back on with some regret. One would hope Paratici has been clever enough to include some form of buy-back clause.

Liverpool have been linked with a move for Monaco midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni as manager Jurgen Klopp continues to search for Gini Wijnaldum’s successor.

What’s the story?

According to Italian outlet Corriere Dello Sport, the Reds are considering making a bid to sign the highly-rated 21-year-old, although they’re expected to face stiff competition for his signature.

The report also claims that Italian giants Juventus are interested in securing Tchouameni’s services this summer, with Monaco set to demand £25 million for their asset.

Imagine him and Thiago

After rising up through the ranks at boyhood club Bordeaux, Tchouameni joined Monaco in a big-money move in January 2020 and has gone from strength to strength ever since.

The youngster made 42 appearances in all competitions for Niko Kovac’s charges last season, scoring three goals and providing a further four assists for his teammates.

However, it’s his work off the ball that really catches the eye. As per WhoScored, Tchouameni averaged a whopping 3.5 tackles per league game in 2020/21, by far the highest tally amongst his team.

He also made 1.7 interceptions, the joint-highest total when compared to his teammates. The France Under-21 international not only dominated proceedings on the ground but in the air as well, winning 67% of his aerial duels.

Tchouameni’s ability to stop opposition attacks, dispossess opponents and chip in with the odd goal and assist make him an extremely exciting prospect not only for the future but for the present day.

His assets would undoubtedly make him the ideal midfield partner for the more technically gifted and attack-minded Thiago. The Spaniard often struggles when asked to do the defensive side of the game, an area that Tchouameni thrives in.

Therefore, Liverpool’s director of football Michael Edwards must swoop for the Monaco ace before Juve snap him up.

Wijnaldum’s departure has left a sizeable gap in the club’s engine room, but Tchouameni is certainly capable of filling it. His arrival would add more balance and bite to Klopp’s midfield options, providing him with the necessary resources to mount another title challenge.

Martin van Jaarsveld continued his one-man show to bring up his second century of the match to complete Kent’s come-from-behind four-wicket win against Surrey. After rewriting the script on the third day to help dismiss Surrey for 130 with his first five-wicket haul, van Jaarsveld took full control of his happy ending by overseeing the chase with another effective innings which fittingly remained unbeaten.He had given a chance on the third evening and was missed again early in the morning off Saqlain Mushtaq on 74, the bat-pad pop dropped at short leg by Matthew Spriegel symptomatic of a lacklustre final-morning display from Surrey. But other than that he and Geraint Jones were content to nibble the readily-available singles and gobble up the boundaries – making a tense situation seem at times like a picnic.Together they moved Kent along in an assured sixth-wicket partnership of 71. Jones’ innings included three crisp clips off the legs and a fine pull all off the unchanged Saqlain until his drive at a wide, full one from Jade Dernbach ended with Ali Brown’s catch in the slips on 39.Jones proved Surrey’s sole scalp, their lingering hopes finally thrown away when the new batsman Yasir Arafat was missed on 2, with Abdul Razzaq’s straightforward spill at wide mid-on off Dernbach. This was the first time, however, he had achieved a five-wicket haul – indeed his previous best was a two-fer – and it came at a good time for Kent, his efforts completely reversing the flow when Surrey were well-placed to bring up their first win of the season.For so long in this match it had seemed that the stage was set for the beginning of a post-Twenty20 resurgence similar to last year. With that distraction out of the way, in 2007 Surrey turned their Championship campaign around and from relegation candidates stormed up the table. van Jaarsveld, however, ensured they remain winless this season, while Kent brought up their second win, helping them up a tight table where every point is precious.For the record, it was the third time a Surrey opponent has brought up two centuries and taken five wickets against them. Jack Newman did it for Hampshire in 1907 and John Human for Cambridge University in 1933 – but neither’s work was in a winning cause. van Jaarsveld’s history-making actions will be remembered for a long time, and could prove vital in the short term.

Sky Sports reporter Michael Bridge says it’s unlikely that Tottenham will make a move for Anthony Martial, but reckons that Manchester United would be interested in selling.

Following some impressive attacking additions in recent years, Jadon Sancho being the most recent this summer, the Frenchman would appear to be slowly slipping down the pecking order at Old Trafford.

The signing of Sancho, though, comes after Martial struggled massively last season, scoring just seven goals in 36 games in all competitions, and only four in the Premier League.

According to the Daily Star, Nuno Espirito Santo is keen on bringing Martial, who cost United £36m when he joined from Monaco six years ago, to north London to bolster his attacking options.

Spurs have already lost Gareth Bale and Erik Lamela, whilst Harry Kane could also be on his way out of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before the window closes.

Martial can play on the left or through the middle, having done both on several occasions during his United career.

However, Bridge told The Transfer Tavern that he doesn’t expect Tottenham to pursue a deal for the 25-year-old:

“Looking at it now, I’ve not heard that at all. I think United would entertain it, but would we have to sell before that? I can’t see that one personally.

وتابع: “نعم، هو يستحقها، يمكنني التحدث بموضوعية على المستوى الرياضي وأفعل ذلك عن طيب خاطر وكلي سعادة، لا توجد مشكلة بالنسبة لي”.

وأضاف: “لست غاضبًا، ولا أشعر بأي ضغينة على الإطلاق، كنت أقول دائمًا ما يجب أن أقوله، لقد كانت لحظات صعبة تمكنت فيها من التعافي منها، الآن، كل شخص يتصرف كما يريد”.

وواصل تصريحاته: “رفض بنزيما الاستمرار في استئنافه يعني أشياء كثيرة بالنسبة لي، من ثم يمكن للجميع أن يفكروا بما يريدون، الشيء الأكثر أهمية بالنسبة لي هو أن تكون قادرًا على المضي قدمًا، أرى أن سبع سنوات لم تذهب هباءً”.

Aos 13 minutos, Jô tocou para Romero, que devolveu o passe. De primeira, o camisa 7 serviu Rodriguinho dentro da área, em linda trama ofensiva. “Na parede da memória, essa lembrança é o quadro”, e o fantasma de 1977 parece ainda não ter dissipado de Campinas. Aos 13 minutos do segundo tempo, Rodriguinho deu bela arrancada, ficou em pé mesmo com a falta, tirou a marcação e serviu Jadson, que bateu de primeira, sem chances de defesa para Aranha. “No presente a mente, o corpo é diferente”. Ou não.

Depois do segundo gol, o jogo virou uma pelada. A Ponte, improdutiva. O Corinthians, calmo, com “dedo em V, cabelo ao vento, amor e flor”. A tal tranquilidade entrou em contraste definitivo com a inoperância da Ponte aos 34: Fagner bateu lateral para Jô, mas a bola ficou solta na área e Rodriguinho é quem desviou de cabeça. “O novo sempre vem”.

كشف الجنوب إفريقي، روجر دي سا، مدرب منتخب مصر السابق، أن مواطنه بيتسو موسيماني، المدير الفني السابق للنادي الأهلي، أخبره بالفعل عن وجهته المُقبلة بعد فسخ تعاقده مع المارد الأحمر.

وكان الأهلي قد أعلن أول أمس الاثنين، فسخ تعاقده مع موسيماني، بعد 20 شهرًا مع المارد الأحمر، حيث تولى تدريب الفريق، في أكتوبر 2020.

وقال دي سا في تصريحات عبر مجلة “كيك أوف” الغانية: “بيتسو ذاهب إلى قطر، إنه دوري مختلف، إنه تكوين مختلف، لكن المال سيكون أفضل”.

وأضاف: “كانت علاقته مع المصريين في بعض الأحيان علاقة حب وكره، بيتسو صريح كما نعلم جميعًا، وسيتحدث دائمًا عن رأيه”.
