أكد أحمد حسام ميدو مهاجم منتخب مصر وتوتنهام الإنجليزي الأسبق ومقدم البرامج الرياضية الحالي، أن تأخر محمد صلاح لاعب فريق ليفربول عن دعم القضية الفلسطينية يأتي بسبب خوفه على فسخ عقود الرعاية والإعلانات.

وقال ميدو في تصريحات تلفزيونية عبر فضائية “المحور” ببرنامجه “الريمونتادا”: “هناك العديد من اللاعبين الذين خاطروا بأنفسهم، ومستقبلهم لدعم فلسطين، مثل مصطفى محمد ومحمد النني ويوسف عطال، لماذا ينتظر الناس محمد صلاح لدعم فلسطين على صفحات التواصل الاجتماعي؟”.

وأضاف: “محمد صلاح يُعتبر (بابا اللعبة)، محمد صلاح له تأثير قوي جدًا على الإنجليز بالتحديد، هو في مركز قوة وصنع تاريخًا كبيرًا جدًا، ولهم حق أن يحبوه لأنه صنع تاريخًا كبيرًا جدًا وشخص مهذب ولا يتدخل في أزمات، ويساهم في انتصارات ليفربول”.

وواصل: “أعلم أن البعض سيأخذ كلامي على محمل (النفسنة) من صلاح كالعادة، لكن لا يهمني أنا أقيم الموضوع إعلاميًا، محمد صلاح كان يجب أن يدعم القضية الفلسطينية”.

واستكمل: “صلاح قصة كفاح كبيرة، والأطفال يرون حلمهم فيه، والسبب الرئيسي في الأرقام الجيدة التي يحصل عليها من عقود الرعاية والإعلانات هم هؤلاء الأطفال الذي يرون حلمهم فيه، لا يصح أن يتصنع أنه لا يرى ولا يسمع عندما يتعرض هؤلاء الأطفال في فلسطين لأزمة”.

واستطرد: “ماذا سيفعلون؟ هل سيقومون بإلغاء عقود الرعاية؟ لا تخف اذهب والعب في السعودية بأضعاف الأموال، كان لا بد أن تبدأ وتكون القدوة”.

وأتم ميدو: “الجميع يشعرون بالحزن منك، لا يصح أن تخذل الناس، بكل صراحة محمد صلاح خذل الشعب الفلسطيني، وأتمنى أن يتدارك الأمر، حتى بعد التبرع بالأموال، وأن تأتي متأخرًا أفضل من ألا تأتي على الإطلاق”.

أعلن الاتحاد السعودي لكرة اليد تغيير موعد كأس السوبر المصري السعودي لكرة اليد والذي كان مقررًا له نوفمبر المقبل.

وأكد الاتحاد السعودي أن البطولة سوف تقام بين الزمالك والنور السعودي يوم 23 فبراير 2024.

وكان من المقرر إقامة المباراة بين الفريقين يوم 5 نوفمبر المقبل.

من جانب آخر سوف تقام مواجهة كأس السوبر المصري بين الأهلي والزمالك خارج مصر يوم التاسع من ديسمبر المقبل وذلك على صالة الشيخ زايد بن سلطان آل نهيان بإمارة الفجيرة بالإمارات.

Saeed Ajmal’s bowling action has undergone “a substantial improvement” since his last official test but will need more work to bring it within the 15-degree limit, the Pakistan Cricket Board has said. The update on Ajmal’s action came after an unofficial test at Loughborough, which is one of ICC’s newest accredited centres for testing illegal actions.Biomechanist Dr Mark King, who tested Ajmal in Loughborough, submitted a report to the PCB which said: “The bowler has clearly modified his bowling action substantially. There is clearly a substantial improvement from the previous official test where the average elbow extension was 40 degrees but the amount of elbow extension is still over the 15-degree limit, but it is likely that with additional work the bowler can bowl within the 15-degree limit.”Ajmal, who turned 37 last month, was banned from bowling in international cricket by the ICC in September. He was reported after the first Test of Pakistan’s tour of Sri Lanka in Galle this August. Subsequent testing of his action at an ICC-accredited facility in Brisbane found his average elbow extension to be more than twice the permissible limit.Since then, the bowler has undergone a rehabilitation programme at the National Cricket Academy under the supervision of former Pakistan offspinner Saqlain Mushtaq. While a speed gun and two cameras were recording his movements, assessment of the remedial work was based largely on human judgement as Ajmal was working without the aid of a biomechanical lab at the NCA.The PCB informed that the test in Loughborough was conducted according to the standard ICC Illegal Action Testing Protocol, which is used to assess the degree of elbow extension from the point of the upper arm horizontal to ball release within the bowling action.Ajmal will now remain in England for another work and will work with Saqlain at the latter’s cricket academy in Leicestershire. The PCB intends to apply for an official retest of Ajmal’s action before the 2015 World Cup.

أسدل الستار على منافسات الدور ربع النهائي والأول من بطولة دوري السوبر الإفريقي (الدوري الإفريقي) الذي ينظمها الاتحاد الإفريقي لكرة القدم “كاف” لأول مرة في التاريخ.

وكان كاف قد أعلن عن تنظيم بطولة دوري السوبر الإفريقي بمشاركة ثمانية فرق وصفها بأنها الأكبر في قارة إفريقيا، وأقيمت البطولة بنظام خروج المغلوب.

وشارك في البطولة كل من، الأهلي وسيمبا التنزاني وبترو أتليتكو الأنجولي، وماميلودي صن داونز الجنوب إفريقي ومازيمبي الكونغولي والترجي التونسي، وإنيمبا النيجيري والوداد البيضاوي المغربي.

واستطاعت فرق الأهلي وماميلودي صن داونز والترجي والوداد في حسم بطاقات الصعود إلى الدور نصف النهائي بعد خوض مواجهات ذهاب وإياب لتحديد المتأهلين.

وكان الأهلي أول المتأهلين على حساب سيمبا التنزاني بتعادل بنتيجة 3-3 في مجموع مباراتي الذهاب والإياب.

إذ تعادل الأهلي خارج الديار على الملعب الوطني بمدينة دار السلام- تنزانيا، بهدفين لكل فريق، قبل أن يتعادل بهدف لهدف في الإياب بملعب استاد القاهرة.

أما صن داونز فقد عبر عن طريق بترو أتليتكو الأنجولي  بعد أن فاز في أنجولا بهدفين دون رد، ثم خاض مباراة الإياب بأريحية ليتعادل سلبيًا بدون أهداف على ملعبه ووسط جماهيره.

واستطاع فريق الترجي التونسي في اقتناص بطاقة التأهل من خصم قوي وهو مازيمبي الكونغولي، بعد أن خسر ذهابًا خارج الديار بهدف دون رد، ثم حقق انتصار على الملعب الأولمبي برادس بثلاثية دون رد.

وأتم فريق الوداد عقد الفرق المتأهلة إلى “سيمي فاينال” البطولة بفوز ذهابًا خارج الديار على إنيمبا النيجيري ثم فوز سهل في الإياب بثلاثية نظيفة.

The BCB has ended the restriction on no-objection certificates being issued to Bangladesh allrounder Shakib Al Hasan, leaving him free to participate in overseas tournaments, the board president Nazmul Hassan has said.”He has no barrier to play abroad. We have lifted the embargo on his NOC,” Hassan said. “It was a unanimous decision on behalf of the BCB’s board of directors.”On July 7, Shakib was banned for six months and told he would not be granted NOCs to play in overseas competitions until December 31, 2015. He was punished for “serious misbehaviour” with the Bangladesh coach Chandika Hathurusingha and an altercation with a spectator during an ODI against India in Mirpur.The BCB later reduced his ban by three a half months on August 26, letting him play for Bangladesh from September 15. On Tuesday, Hassan had said in an impromptu press briefing that the restriction would be lifted within a couple of days, and Shakib will be available to play in the Big Bash League from December 18.Hassan said Shakib’s improvement in behaviour had been noticed by the board and that he had shown “leadership’ qualities. “We are not against our players,” Hassan said. “However, there are times when situations demand strict measures. The ban and NOC embargo on Shakib was a message to everyone that we will not compromise with discipline.”I am glad that the player took the sanctions in the right spirit and showed his character by coming back strongly. I believe the outcome in the context of the Bangladesh team has also been positive and we have definitely seen greater teamwork and camaraderie during the series against Zimbabwe.”

Clive Lloyd, the former West Indies captain and current chairman of selectors, has said that the absence of “exceptional performances” from the pair of Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard, coupled with the selection panel’s vision to move forward and look for young talent, were the chief reasons for omitting the two senior allrounders for the ODIs against South Africa and the World Cup.Lloyd said the decision had been a difficult one and was debated heavily. He insisted that it was not the end of the road for the discarded pair and it was up to the players to regain their spots on the back of performances.”It was a very difficult decision. I can tell you it went on for two days. We suspended it to give a chance to think about things and so on. There were a lot of discussions,” Lloyd told ESPNcricinfo in an exclusive interview on Tuesday. “But then you get to a point where you say, right, this is where we want to go. It is very difficult for people to understand or to accept. But we want to move on.”I don’t think they have had any exceptional performances. Nobody (of the pair) has got exceptional performances as far as (playing for) West Indies is concerned. They have been there and thereabouts. We really and truly want to pick people on what they have done for our cricket and not for anyone else.”Despite being part of the 30 probables for the World Cup, Bravo and Pollard had already been left out of the five-match ODI series against South Africa. Considering their popularity in domestic global Twenty20 competitions, the news created furore not just in the Caribbean, but also outside.Former West Indies fast bowler and Lloyd’s former team-mate Michael Holding raised the question of why Bravo had been dropped when he was part of the ICC ODI Team of the Year for 2014. Pollard and Bravo are fourth and fifth on the list of highest run-scorers for West Indies since the 2011 World Cup.Lloyd said there were already too many allrounders in the squad and that the selectors had to take a call. He also hinted that the performances of Bravo and Pollard that have registered in the fans’ minds had mostly come in the domestic T20 leagues like the IPL.Lloyd revealed that he had spoken with both players in person last week in Cape Town: “Yes, I spoke to them in Cape Town. They understand what the situation is. Don’t forget, these guys have been playing for West Indies for a while. And they will be disappointed. One is 31 (Bravo) and the other is 27 or 28 (Pollard).”Lloyd also said he did not need to respond to Chris Gayle who called the selectors’ move “ridiculous”. Gayle had said that he was stunned to hear from Bravo that one reason for the pair being dropped was that the selectors wanted to rebuild the team.”He (Gayle) might think so, but the point is that he is not a selector. He is a player,” Lloyd said. “I have the greatest respect for him. But he will have to read what we are trying to do. He is part of that team that is going forward. Once he has been told what the situation is he will understand what we are doing.”Immediately after Bravo and Pollard were dropped from the South Africa ODI series but included for the T20 leg, the players’ lawyer Ralph Thorne said that “a gentle form of ruthlessness” by the WICB led to their exclusion from the World Cup squad. Thorne accused the WICB of victimisation and not honouring the word of the board president Dave Cameron who had said that the players who abandoned the tour of India last October would be treated fairly.Lloyd said he had explained the reasons, in writing, to all concerned parties, including the WICB, the West Indies Players Association, as well as the players’ lawyers. He insisted there was no discrimination by the selection panel.”No, no. That is not the way I live. I don’t believe in things in that nature at all. There is no axe to grind with these guys. There are other people that could have…You know we could have said, “What about X, what about Y?”This is the combination we came up with. And I am not one of those people who are going to direct to me what to do. I take orders from me, and nobody else. I am not into that situation where I will be worrying about what happened in India. That is past. That is gone.
