Manchester United look to have laid out their ambitions for the January transfer window at Old Trafford as Erik ten Hag continues to shape his squad, according to a new report.

Despite spending over £170 million in the summer transfer window on Mason Mount, Andre Onana, Altay Bayindir, Sofyan Amrabat, Rasmus Hojlund, Jonny Evans and Sergio Reguilon, Manchester United fans will feel like some of their recruitment processes need to be questioned after a frustrating start to the campaign.

In midweek, the Red Devils surrendered a two-goal lead over Galatasaray in Istanbul and fell to a 3-3 draw in a must-win Champions League clash, leaving them bottom of Group A with four points from five fixtures as the challenge of Bayern Munich at Old Trafford awaits on matchday six.

During the tie, Cameroon international Onana was at fault for Hakim Ziyech's second goal of the evening, spilling the former Chelsea man's strike, which eventually trickled over the line in fairly hapless fashion.

Speaking to TNT Sports cited via TEAMtalk in the aftermath of the fixture, club legend Paul Scholes laid into Onana's performance on the night, stating: "What can you say? It’s a terrible mistake again (for the second goal). I’m sure if he is trying to punch it away with his right hand, it’s weak. He makes people nervous. I think he makes his defence nervy, his team nervous. He makes simple saves look really, really difficult.

"You see him again here at the near post (for the third goal). I’m not a goalkeeping expert and others will know more about this, but I don’t think he should be beaten at the near post. His positioning is poor. For me, all three goals are down to him."

Of course, Onana wasn't the only man to blame for Manchester United's downfall; however, it does provoke questions regarding the wider structure involving recruiting players at Old Trafford. Now, one other under-fire star could now be set to be replaced in January as part of a squad reshuffle by Ten Hag in the upcoming transfer window.

Tornar a defesa mais confiável

Ao longo da passagem de Ricardo Sá Pinto pelo Vasco, a defesa teve momentos de altos e baixos e muita irregularidade. Contra o Athletico-PR, o que se viu foi um sistema defensivo frágil e pouco combativo. Na sua primeira passagem, em 2019, o treinador conseguiu equilibrar o setor, o que rendeu bons resultados e um crescimento na tabela.

Recuperar jogadores importantes

Durante a passagem de Luxemburgo pelo Vasco, Talles Magno começou a ser aproveitado pelo treinador e foi revelado para o futebol brasileiro. O jovem iniciou bem e deu esperança ao torcedor Cruz-Maltino. com velocidade e ousadia, que os levaram a seleção sub-20. Geoff Cook, Durham’s long-standing director of cricket, is to step down from his role at the end of the season as part of a staff restructure.Cook’s departure comes hot on the heels of the retirement of Paul Collingwood, the club’s longest-serving player, who was one of a raft of names whom Cook was instrumental in developing in his 27 years of service.After a 19-year county career with Northamptonshire, Cook returned to his native north-east in 1991 to help Durham make the transition to first-class cricket. He was appointed as Head Coach in 2007 and immediately guided the club to the Friends Provident Trophy, the first of a run of trophies that would include back-to-back Championship wins in 2008 and 2009.In 2013, he was forced to take time away from the game after suffering a heart attack while out jogging, but returned to the club in time to take part in their title celebrations after they had wrapped up their third Championship win in six seasons.Cook won seven Test caps as an opening batsman between 1982 and 1983. However, his greatest legacy is the number of outstanding players who have made their way through the county academy and, not only represented Durham, but gone on to become key players for England.In addition to Collingwood, who made his Durham debut in 1995, Cook was responsible for nurturing the likes of Ben Stokes, Mark Wood, Steve Harmison, Graham Onions and Mark Stoneman. Isak, who has the versatility to play out on the left flank to accommodate Wilson, has struck twice in four league starts this term and managed ten goals and one assist in 17 starts in his debut campaign in English football.

This means that the Sweden international has produced a goal or an assist every 1.62 Premier League starts on average since his move to the club from Real Sociedad in 2022. Whilst it is not as impressive as Wilson's return, it is better than one every other game and shows that he is able to regularly chip in with match-changing contributions.

In fact, the pair have been on the pitch together in 13 matches and assisted each other for four goals in that time, which shows that they can thrive and help each other to score.

Therefore, the quality is there for Isak and the £46k-per-week ace to be a terrific duo at the top end of the pitch and they could terrorise Sheffield United this afternoon with their sublime goalscoring talents in the final third.

Both players are capable of being lethal in front of goal at Premier League level and Howe must unleash the pair of them against the Blades to see how much damage they can inflict at Bramall Lane today.

وتابع: “بالفعل اللاعب كان عنده عرض من نادي ديسبورج الألماني، وهذا العرض كان عن طريق مدرب منتخب نيجيريا وقتها، لأنه اشترط علي لكي ينضم اللاعب للمنتخب لا بد أن يكون محترفًا في أوروبا، والمدرب كان يسوق اللاعبين في أوروبا من أجل المنتخب”.

واستكمل: “مدرب نيجيريا أتى بعرض نادي ديسبورج الألماني، لكن المقابل المادي كان قليلًا، بالإضافة إلى أنه كان هناك بند في عقد إيمونيكي مع الزمالك، يسمح للأبيض بالحصول على 25% من قيمة عقده بعد بيعه لأي ناد آخر، إذًا العرض كان عن طريق مدرب نيجيريا، وليس لأي أحد في مصر علاقة بهذا العرض تمامًا”.

واستمر: “أنا رفضت العرض الألماني، ثم اتصل بنا مسؤولو سبورتينج لشبونة، ورئيس النادي حضر إلى هنا، وتم الاتفاق على رحيل اللاعب”.

Why did Luis Sinisterra leave Leeds United?

One of the big frustrations of the window was overseeing the late exit of Luis Sinisterra, who despite having been reintegrated back into the first-team squad still seemingly was pushing for a move.

So, when the Cherries came at the eleventh hour, Farke had lost his bargaining position.

Despite that, there was a slight positive to emerge from the move, as amongst the misery came Jaidon Anthony as a last-minute addition to sweeten the deal.

His arrival has gone hugely under the radar, and against all the odds it seems like the Whites could have secured a true star to help spearhead their promotion push, replacing the former Feyenoord flyer.

With experience already tackling the Championship once before, Farke has worked wonders to tempt the 23-year-old to drop down a level once again in order to help their promotion cause.

He noted, upon signing: “The year before last I got promoted from this division, I played a lot of games in it and I know it’s a really tough league, it’s really physical and very demanding. It’s exciting to come back now and try and push for another promotion."

That marked an outstanding year for the youngster, as he maintained a 7.16 average rating in the league, featuring 45 times and recording 15 goal contributions. On top of that, he remained a consistent creative threat as well as a tireless worker, also posting 1.3 tackles and 1.6 key passes per game, via Sofascore.

To outline just how sensational he was when it came to forging opportunities for teammates who often let him down, he only managed to conjure seven assists despite creating an unbelievable 18 big chances.

Such form had to draw praise, with his boss Scott Parker leading it: “Jaidon Anthony’s a player that goes under the radar massively, what he does for this team is nothing short of incredible at times.

“In possession, we see his qualities, his calmness, his silkiness when he makes good decisions but the stuff that goes unnoticed is his defensive side, what he brings to this team.”
